Meet Our Doctor
Steffan was born on a humble farm in Minnesota, tasked from a young age with raising Black Angus cattle and Christmas Trees, his father instilled a passion for history and learning and this academic pursuit for knowledge and excellence propelled him to the University of Minnesota Dental School, where he graduated at the top of his class. Steffan’s exceptional performance earned him the esteemed Dinh Quan Award for Excellence in Endodontics. Not satisfied, Steffan pursued further specialized training in endodontics at the renowned University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill (UNC). There earning his Master of Science Degree in Oral Biology, benefiting from the program’s exceptional surgical training and early exposure to microscopic endodontic care, dating back to 1993.
Following his graduation, he established his own practice in Bismarck, North Dakota, establishing and growing one of the leading endodontic offices in the Midwest during his ownership spanning 17+ years. While in North Dakota, Steffan established a wide-ranging collection of antique cars and collectibles, and was a frequent regular at regional antique shows and swap meets.
Over the years, Steffan came to the reality that the harsh & bleak wintery conditions meant that driving old cars was only a brief summer possibility; and at the encouragement of friends in Texas, Steffan decided to sell his successful practice in North Dakota and relocated to Lubbock, TX, in 2013. Since then, he’s been able to drive and restore antique cars year around in our much more tranquil climate.
For the past 12+ years, Steffan has been dedicated to serving the West Texas area, aiming to provide the highest level of endodontic treatment and care. With a deep-rooted love for his profession and a commitment to his patients, he looks forward to continuing his service for many years to come. He actively participates in continuing education and maintains memberships in the Seattle and Spear Study Clubs. Passionate about sharing knowledge, Steffan has lectured extensively across the Midwest and at his alma mater, UNC.
